https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63953 --- Comment #16 from joux.al...@wanadoo.fr --- (In reply to comment #15) I'm not a developer :-), so I can't determine the cause of these crashes. Do I understand it well this problem is solved? (if so, we can mark this bug as RESOLVED WORKSFORME). If this problem reappears, you can REOPEN this bug. Kind regards, Joren No, technically speaking i don't think the bug is solved. I understand the bug is not easy to reproduce and i have done only some suggestion for the developpers to do more TESTS to try to reproduce this bug and fix it. Yes, for administrative reason the bug can be classified as 'resolved worksforme'. Thanks for your support i appreciate. I love LO, i use french version. (I have replaced Open Office 3 on all my computers by LO 4.x) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63953 --- Comment #13 from joux.al...@wanadoo.fr --- (In reply to comment #12) (In reply to comment #11) I is a local SSD drive (see attachment) Why do we have to rename the Whole LO directory profile ? Thank you for the feedback. LO directory profile has every LO settings. The fact to rename it will force LO to recreate a brand new one. It would allow us to be sure we don't inherite from buggy settings or something. What could be interesting is you let all LO settings at their default (so no SSD drive for example). The goal is to know if the bug could be linked to specific settings, perhaps hardware pb with SSD, ... Of course, it's just for the test so it would be only temporary. If you reproduce crash without changing any default settings, it would mean SSD drive or specific settings aren't guilty. We'll wait for your new feedback. I have renamed the old whole LO directory profile, so a new one has been recreated by LO software. i have checked and do text and presentation files. they are well saved at my local I SSD. I don't suspect SSD CORSAIR Neutron GTX 240 GB I: because i have tested with somebench tools such as CrystalDiskinfo, SIW, SpeedFan, CrystalDiskmark, AS SSD, ATTO, ANVIL PRO, etc.. All SMART values are quite perfect 100%. So, now the settings seem stable and i have to observe. I have a suggestion: is it possible the APPCRASH at the time when i had changed the default directory user (Alain) documents path from C: drive to the I: drive ? I don't remember exactly how i had done this path modification... for mes documents. May be i forget to apply the modification, then close the LO application, then restart the LO application, then create the document.. or if i was creating the document and path modification simultaneously.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Or does it crash multiple times or with particular steps (so we can reproduce)? Kind regards, Joren Hi Joren, Seems just a crash observed once at the moment !!!. As I am not an intensive user of Libre Office so may be this explain why I have not observed multiple times crash… I ignore what particular steps to reproduce the bug. Why, when this application crashes there is not an automatic backup of essential datas so that when we restart the application we have to select a “bug report” function to send the datas ? I have some applications in my PC who have this functionally/tool which is very helpful for the developper… This is a simple suggestion… If a new crash occurs I will send you more details.
