https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65664 --- Comment #13 from Phoebus --- Here's the video showing it doesn't work. 1) I open calc and show there is decrease from 150 to 80 in target for "I" 2) I open writer and reload links 3) I do "update all" 4) I scroll to "I" table and show the data has updated correctly 5) I go to "I" page and the target line is always at 150 6) I do update->charts 7) (after some more waiting), charts don't change 8) after doubleclick on chart, voila! -- 9) platform and LO versions It is really annoying. In example I sent, update charts shoud change charts in "I" page. Calc, DDe link to writer, chart generated in writer from charts at the end of the document. Firstly, it's ultra-slow (original documents had 31 tables and 62 charts); secondly, I need to doubleclick all the charts to redraw. The tables update OK automatically (or using "update all" function.). Libreoffice 4.1.2~rc3-0ubuntu1 About the speed: removing 23 tables at the bottom of writer (same as 8 that are left) took cca 20 minutes on i7 processor. when scrolling, it keeps jumping back up,..., saving on the full file took cca 5 minutes.. But as written, the main problem is that I need to click all the charts for update Attaching file (fake data) that breaks it. Please note, same pair of files, with only 16 charts, updates OK. I had to add more in order to make it stop working- I guess there must be a limitation about number of charts that update? Please try this: Open CALC file, go to sheet I and change target. Then open Writer file, update all links, click update->all. I removed all the (DDE) links, removed all but one page and only kept 5 lines of data in table. Now the only chart updates after editing table but the "tools->update->charts" is still greyed out! In original document charts didn't update after changing data in calc (calc is source of data!).
