[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68208] Other: page styles do not support recurring images
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68208 Jean-Baptiste Faure changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #8 from Jean-Baptiste Faure --- Closing as WorksForMe because the user actually has the mean to do the requested action. And I think closing it as INVALID is not fair in this case. For a more "style oriented" recurring images management, I suggest to open a new enhancement request with a more complete description taking into account for example the case where you want have more than one recurring images in the same header. This description should show how the dialog could look. Best regards. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68208 --- Comment #6 from Peter Maunder --- To be really useful, I think you would need to be able to place the image over or behind the text, and a transparency option, for example to overlay a background image on the choice of pages. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68208] Other: page styles do not support recurring images
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68208 --- Comment #5 from Bruce Byfield --- Yes, anchoring in a header works, and thanks for the suggestion. However, what I am requesting is a solution that is an option within the dialog window for creating page styles, not a manual solution. From a design perspective, it makes sense to add the recurring image while you are designing the page style. You might argue equally well that that you don't need the More ... button on the Header / Footer tabs to add a line that separates a header/footer from the main body of text because you can add one manually. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68208 --- Comment #4 from Jean-Baptiste Faure --- (In reply to comment #3) > [...] > Inserting an image in the header works, but does one of two things. You should play with my example. The header takes only one line. The logo is anchored in the header but is not in the header. You can moves it where you want in the page. Best regards. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68208] Other: page styles do not support recurring images
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68208 --- Comment #2 from Peter Maunder --- I agree with J-B F. If you insert an image in a header or footer, you must remember to anchor the image To Paragraph, To or As Character, whichever is appropriate. If you anchor the image TO PAGE, it will belong to the page and not the header or footer and will only occur on that particular page. By choosing different Page Styles, for example LEFT / RIGHT page, you can have different heading and footing images each set linked to that page style. If you Anchor To Paragraph or To Character you have a choice of word wrap, but not obviously As Character. I find that this meets most of my needs, but I am not a publisher.
