Since I have reproduced it on Linux and Windows on this machine, I think it might be hardware related. So the font does not seem to be to blame. Can somebody else please try to reproduce this? I attached a screen shot who the file you attached is rendered here (100% unchanged). I suspect it's got to do with the font. I will make a version of this with the writing in the originally intended font rendered to a path.
