could you try a more recent release and verify if this still happens?

i'm not sure if i got you right, so a example database would help too.

Don't know if I had understand it right.

You create a report and could not select objects in this report, when trying to
edit the report again?
Can't confirm this - could chose objects and could move them with the mouse.

Then you write Report builder scrolls to top ... Do you have problems with a
very large report with many textfields and many labelfields?

My system: OpenSUSE 12.3 46bit rpm, LO 4.1.4.2
