To display the hidden text, ensure that Non-printing Characters is selected in the View menu. You can also choose Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer - Formatting Aids and select Hidden text. I tried to have a document using the styles text body and Heading 1 and Heading 2. I marked Heading 2 under font effects as hidden. New Text Document. 2. Type “This is a test.”. 3. Place cursor at end of paragraph and Insert → Fields → More Fields → Functions tab. 4. Select Hidden Paragraph and type TRUE into Condition box, Insert, and Close. 5. Toggle View → Hidden Paragraphs. Result: Hidden Paragraph is hidden. Windows Vista 64 Version: 4.4.3.2 Build ID: 88805f81e9fe61362df02b9941de8e38a9b5fd16 Is this happening with a particular document? You could always try resetting your profile by renaming your current one: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User_Profile Set to NEEDINFO.
