There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. This is most likely related to the way gradients are handled by LibreOffice. They are converted to a limited number of colored lines (thus the light lines). Opening the resulting PDF in Draw is even worse.
