Argh! you are right, I see the checkbox when the dialog is open. This dialog is not modal, perhaps it is the reason of this checkbox, to remember the user that the dialog is already open? If you configure LO to not show the icons in the menus you do not see it while you see the checkbox next some other menu entries like View > Status Bar. Note: under Ubuntu I do not see graphic sign next this menu entry, with all themes I tested (Tango, Breeze and Galaxy). Best regards.
