So this is working now.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

I guess it is because the print borders depend on the printer and its settings.
If LO does not know which printer is to be used, it can't calculate the print
borders.

I can partially confirm this so I'm pushing it to NEW. I actually never get the
grid after going to print -> exit -> then scroll. This is despite the checkmark
being on.

Ubuntu 15.04 x64
LibreOffice 5.0.2.2

New;
Minor - can slow down but will not prevent high quality work;
Low - default seems appropriate here.

Seems strange to me that the option is checked by default but we don't always
see the print borders (immediately after opening spreadsheet).

I did try the View Page Breaks option, which is actually checked by Default.
However, this works similarly to Excel, where the page breaks do not appear
until you first attempt to print. This functionality is fine. However, the
page breaks in Calc do not actually display until you scroll around in the
worksheet, due to a screen refresh issue, after attempting to Print. You
shouldn't have to scroll around the screen to see the Page Breaks.

This is the scenario:
- Open a spreasheet.
- Open Print page. Cancel the print page.
- Page Breaks do not appear.
- Scroll down the screen.
- Page Breaks start appearing on the worksheet as the new data rows appear.
Instead this should be corrected so that the Page breaks should appear for the
currently displayed area of the worksheet.

After additional testing, it does appear that the page layout border does
appear. However, it doesn't show immediately after attempting to print and
then canceling to return to the worksheet. You have to scroll around the
worksheet in order to get the border line to refresh and start appearing. For
example, if you page down, the border line will appear. Then when you page
back up, the screen refresh causes the border to appear.

The page separation border line should just appear and refresh immediately
after attempting to print. I have changed this to a minor bug since the
feature already exists but isn't functioning correctly.
