Not sure that's the same issue. At least we can't know for sure without some screenshot/screencast. Is there a specific theme that must be used? I'm not aware of such restriction. At least it's known to work with Adwaita, which is what you have. The uncomment suggestion did not work for me (tried both the gtk option and gtk3). Well, I think you need to logout-login to make this work. No issues in Libreoffice 4.4.5.2 when downgrading. Running default Adwaita theme in Arch Linux with Openbox. Have both gtk2 and gtk3 installed. Is there a specific theme that must be used? Anyway - if you want you can easily go back to Gtk2, by editing /etc/profile.d/libreoffice-fresh.sh.
