[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129897] New: Menus positioned incorrectly on joined multi-monitor displays of different dimensions
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129897 Bug ID: 129897 Summary: Menus positioned incorrectly on joined multi-monitor displays of different dimensions Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: m...@maxbarry.com Created attachment 157026 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=157026&action=edit Screenshot showing menu appearing distant from mouse When using a virtual desktop of joined displays, LibreOffice incorrectly prevents drop-down menus from appearing in certain areas of the screen. In particular, LibreOffice seems to use the smallest monitor to determine valid co-ordinates for menus, and constrains them to that area unnecessarily. Example (see attached pic): 1. Create a virtual desktop with two monitors, where the smaller monitor is above the larger primary one, and they are right-aligned. 2. In LibreOffice Writer or Calc, click the "File" menu, which is near the top-left of the monitor. 3. Observe that the drop-down menu appears far over to the right, a long way from the mouse. This makes it challenging to use the drop-down menus, as you must move the mouse quite a long way without accidentally passing over anything else that triggers a different drop-down menu. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Enter presentation mode, right-click and select "mouse pointer as pen" in the context menu and we can draw on the slide, but the drawings wouldn't be saved after leaving the presentation mode. That's okay. 2. Before entering presentation mode, go to "slide show settings" and check "mouse pointer as pen". Then enter presentation mode. The default mouse pointer would be a pen and we can draw on the slide without checking in the context menu. And the drawings would be saved after leaving the presentation mode. 3. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129900] New: Exiting Writer's Print Preview mode is slow in long documents
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129900 Bug ID: 129900 Summary: Exiting Writer's Print Preview mode is slow in long documents Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: m...@maxbarry.com Compared to LibreOffice 5, exiting Print Preview in long documents is extremely slow. With a 1,500 page document, for example, exiting Print Preview is instant in LO5, but takes 5-6 seconds (!) in LO6. To reproduce: 1. In LibreOffice 6 Writer, fill a document with text so that it comprises at least a few hundred pages. 2. Enter Print Preview (e.g. File -> Print Preview). 3. Observe it takes a second or two (based on document length) to display the Print Preview screen. This is similar to LibreOffice 5. 4. Press Escape to exit Print Preview mode. 5. Observe a significant delay (approx. 5-6 seconds for a 1,500 page document) with CPU usage spiking before returning to normal view. There is no such delay in LibreOffice 5.3.0.3 Writer. I tend to flip back and forth between Normal View and Print Preview when editing a document, and this new delay makes this very awkward. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129899 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||sberg...@redhat.com --- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski --- I don't think it's a bug. "#" has a special meaning in URLs, separating fragment [1]; so a relative url like "./Test#File.doc" means "open "Test" in current document's location, and navigate to "File.doc" fragment inside it". I suppose it's not what you want. The correct way to do this is =HYPERLINK("./" & ENCODEURL("Test#File.doc")) [1] https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3986#section-3.5 Closing NOTABUG; if you disagree and want to return back to UNCONFIRMED, please don't forget to describe your opinion in details. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128640] Numbering List Presets in Bulgarian (4x), Russian (4x), Serbian (4x)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128640 --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- I would agree to a change where: 1. The list would include some "international" presets - e.g., current Latin, Greek letters; arabic and roman numerals; variants dependent on current locale and UI language; and then an option to open some dialog with extensive means to select/define from whatever is potentially usable as numbering. Currently I don't see a problem here, given the list continues below, with "presets from china, india, ..." available there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
