[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91886] Make font installation optional
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91886 --- Comment #4 from Mike Kaganski --- But: the fonts used in own templates must be present after installation (user uninstalling them later shoots in own leg deliberately) - these fonts missing would be a BUG - I definitely second comment 2 (and not only about Impress); the fonts used in known metric-compatible substitutions must be present (this is a built-in mechanism for keeping document layout when interoperating with MSO). Maybe there are more cases where missing fonts are BUG. Currently TDF package includes all dependencies including fonts; the fonts are handled as separate sub-packages, so that distros are free to exclude them and make them separate dependencies if needed (and Debian does that). Installing fonts is normal for any application that needs them. On Windows, it's normal practice, e.g. MSO does that. Making new extension category for fonts is absolutely wrong IMO: as mentioned, font management is OS feature, and those extensions would effectively create a duplicating font management mechanism. I don't think this should be "fixed". If some of the bundled fonts are not necessary in the bundle, then inclusion of those was a mistake, and they should be dropped. But not all. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131424] New: FILEOPEN XLSX Table reference broken if table header contains comma
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131424 Bug ID: 131424 Summary: FILEOPEN XLSX Table reference broken if table header contains comma Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Keywords: filter:xlsx Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: libreoff...@nisz.hu CC: nem...@numbertext.org Created attachment 158809 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=158809=edit Example file from Excel User made Excel table contained a Table, with some simple formulas referring to the table headers. One of these headers contained a comma, which confused Calc and made Err:507 errors. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attached XLSX file. Note the Table in it, and in B1 the header is “This is the, second column” with a comma. 2. In Excel the C column contains a simple addition formula, referring to table rows and headers by name. 3. This is converted in Calc incorrectly, causing Err:507 messages in the C column. Actual results: The formula is converted to this: =MyTable1[[#This Row],[This is the first column]]+MyTable1[[#This Row],[this is the, second column]] The comma in the second column header confuses Calc, but removing it from B1 and from the formula, then changing back the first letter to be capital fixes the calculation With localized UI the problem is more visible. In localized UI the “#This Row” specifier is normally translated, but after a comma in column header, it’s no longer. Also the comma is changed to semicolon in the formula: “this is the;second column” Expected results: Correct calculation. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131425] New: Inconsistant behavior when changing part of a cross reference source
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131425 Bug ID: 131425 Summary: Inconsistant behavior when changing part of a cross reference source Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.1.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: christian.pietz...@gmail.com Description: Marking/overwriting part of a cross reference leads to different beahaviors depending on whether the reference has been edited before since the document was opened. Ref 1 has a leading space included in the ref source Ref 2 has no spaces Ref 3 has a space following the text included in the source Steps to Reproduce: 1st scenario: 1.Open attached file (or create new file --> type a word --> set reference [Insert - Field - More Fields - Cross-references]) 2. doubble click on first Ref* to mark the word 3. type new word 2nd scenario: 1. open document 2. klick inside Ref* and delete a character or add one 3. double click to markt the word 4. type to replace with new word 3rd scenario: 1. open document 2. put cursor at the end of one of the Ref* 3. use backspace to delete the word 4. Type new word Actual Results: 1st scenario: (see attachment [Refs double click no edit]) - Ref1 --> first letter of the new word gets included into the cross ref; the rest doesn't - Ref2 --> cross ref get destroyed - Ref3 --> none of the new characters get included into the cross ref 2nd scenario: (see attachment [Refs with editing]) - Ref1 --> new word completely in cross ref (desired behavior!!) - Ref2 --> cross ref annihilated - Ref3 --> none of the new characters get included into the cross ref 3rd scenario:(see attachment[Refs backspace no edit]) -Ref1 --> none of the newly typed characters get included in the cross ref (only leading space persists) - Ref2 --> cross ref destroyed (expected behavior!!) - Ref3 --> none of the new characters get included into the cross ref Expected Results: When double clicking a referenced word (no matter if it has a leadind/following or no space) and retyping should always keep the reference alive and replace it with the new word (see Ref1 in 2nd scenario). In my opinion the same should apply for deleting part of a referenced section (section deleted is at the end or beginning of the marked section--> deleting things in the middle doesn't cause problems) Only exception is deleting the whole referenced section/word (like Ref2 in 3rd scenario) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.4.1.2 (x64) Build-ID: 4d224e95b98b138af42a64d84056446d09082932 CPU-Threads: 2; BS: Windows 10.0 Build 18362; UI-Render: GL; VCL: win; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE Calc: threaded -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I'd remove the whole > gallery or replace it by something more useful. See also bug 131318. While in today office suite the idea of ClipArt is not even relevant again, we have no proper support for similar Visio's stencil approach. Draw has more similarity with Visio so basically if we remove Gallery we lose everything. (1) The Function Wizard provides for the input of 256 complex numbers. (2) If you fill up these fields the function gives an error 512 (formula overflow). (3) If you clear the 256th field, the function then gives an answer rather than an error. See the attached spreadsheet for worked example. So for this function, the Function Wizard UI is incorrect and should only provide for the input of 255 parameters. It is possible that the same problem exists for the following functions: - AGGREGATE - GCD_EXCEL2003 - LCM_EXCEL2003 - MULTINOMIAL - RAWSUBTRACT - IMSUM -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This happens if the typeface is set to Noto Sans, Verdana, Noto Mono, Arial... However, it appears to be OK when the typeface is set to DejaVu Sans. It also displays OK on MS Windows (with the typeface set to Verdana). U+25B6 (Right-pointing) and U+25C0 (left-pointing) show this oddity, but U+25B2 (up) and U+25BC (down) do not. A similar oddity applies to the NW/NE/SE/SW arrows U+2196 - U+2199, except these show as white arrows on a blue background. This used to all be OK (a year ago?). I noticed this when re-opening documents that were previously OK. These "coloured icon" arrows and triangles also have the feature that they do not show up if the document is exported to PDF. This has been seen of 6.3.5 (in Kubuntu) and 6.4.2 (downloaded from libreoffice.org). I'm using KDE. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a document 2. Add the relevant characters to it. 3. Look at what is displayed. Actual Results: Some triangles and arrow do not show as the glyphs from the font, but as coloured icons. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131427 Bug ID: 131427 Summary: Remove button "Texture, Shadow and Color" in 3D Effects dialog Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de Draw a 3D object with a bitmap fill. Open the '3D Effects' dialog on tab 'Textures'. In line "Mode" look at the third button. That button should correspond to TextureMode_BLEND in com::sun::star::drawing in API. Symboloa has complete coverage, while on Windows Segoe UI Symbol covers a fair bit.
