 Hi all,

again a problem with the WIN build?

Yup, there were some troubles probably because of broken cygwin.

In addition, it takes longer with the new layout dialogs. Every dialog
is localized separately = it call more that 100 processes for each
dialog. This is pretty expensive operation in cygwin :-(

Fridrich says that it is near the end of the build = it should be ready
within next few hours.

Fridrich will try to improve it for the next build.

Dear fellows,

Thanks for a nice discussion with Petr, Rimas, Sophie etc, with Florian's
great help, we now have a much more pretty name for Moztrap :-)

manual-test.libreoffice.org

I have got the stuff updated in Moztrap side today and done a bit of testing
of the new name myself. It looks working smoothly!

It could be brilliant if you can test the new name accordingly, and
influential scenarios I could imagine are:

1. Login with Persona/OpenID/password (in which the Persona is considered
has been mostly affected)

2. Native user's Password change and reset

3. new user registration

4. pictures/page styles in any pages should not be missing

5. Random function test of Moztrap itself (I don't personally think there
will be a functional influence of this change)

In addition, the wiki page needs to update as well, I guess it will be as
simple as changing all vm12.documentfoundation.org to the new name :) I'll
do it later on any way.

If no problem found in this week, I'll announce the switching to the new name
next Monday.

Thanks a lot! Merry X'mas~~~! :-)

[Libreoffice-qa] fdo#58460, fdo#58464: requesting guidance

Writer crashes when double click a document to open it (or open it
from command line) [1] and fdo#58464 FILEOPEN segfault opening a
particular .docx [2].

With respect to the first of these, I feel I should do something more,
but I do not know what that something should be. May I have your
guidance?

I think I have dealt adequately with the second, but I was perhaps a
bit arbitrary in throwing out the lost paragraph borders part of
that report, which I was not able to reproduce. Reassurance or
correction welcome.

Thanks,

Yes. When the reporter inquired on the QA list, I recommended that he
file a bug report and put me in the cc field. QA-contact is what
happened.

I am aware that being named as qa-contact has changed my behaviour in
a couple of ways: I have been more assertive in cutting fdo#58464 down

Ho hum; the Raspberry Pi version is mostly Rene's work with the Debian
packages; I'd stick to just having the Linux + ARM architecture for that
rather than a specific one (unless you really think it helps).

Android is a different matter of course; unclear what to do there - at
least, that stuff is quite experimental except for the impress remote
which should be toughened up enough to ship in 4.0. So whatever you
think really ...

Thanks !

Michael.

Hi Michael,

Yes, I believe the most important question is whether developers believe
whether they can get benefit from reports. Bug reports would be rather
useless if rally anything is completely experimental and developers
still are working on all core functions.

In any case we should leave a comment on
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport_Details whether reports
are useful and if yes, how they should be done).

@Rene, what are your needs?

Best regards
