[Libreoffice-qa] Meta tracker for Sidebar feature created

2013-05-29 Thread Joren
Hi,

I create a meta tracker for all bugs related to the new sidebar feature.
See: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65138

Although this is still an experimental feature, we can test it to gather
bugs related to this feature.
To enable it:
* Open LibreOffice
* Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Advanced
* Check "Enable experimental sidebar (on restart)"
* Restart LibreOffice
* Open Writer for example
* View > Sidebar

Kind regards,
Joren

Re: [Libreoffice-qa] classifying bugs

2013-05-29 Thread Kieran Peckett
Once you have reproduced a bug, we mark it as NEW so that it can, from
there on, be passed on to the developers.

Hi José,

First of all welcome!

Hello, Folks!

bugzilla and a doubt appeared. When can we set bug status for
"confirmed"? Who do it?

Great! Thanks for that.
As an answer to your question: if you were able to confirm the mentioned
behavior and you can't find duplicates around, you can set the bug
status to 'NEW' for sure :-). Just make sure all required info is there,
so others (and developers) can reproduce it to (like detailed steps,
mentioned files/attachments are available, ...).

Maybe a bit overwhelming when you first read the info in following
links, but it'll be of great help for sure:

* https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport
* https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugTriage#Details_of_Steps

If you have other questions, please don't hesitate :-).
Feel free to join us also at #libreoffice-qa
(http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa). I really enjoy
my time there, with nice people and if you have questions related to a
bug report we can help you right away.

Nice to meet you :-)

Kind regards,
Joren

For some reason your email was not forwarded to the QA list. Let's see what
happens when I reply to all from Gmail

It is actually pretty functional, I just get a bit lost sometimes as scope
of the code base is way larger than anything I've followed in the past. The
move to git is very new and shiny to me, so no doubt in my mind I miss
things that should be obvious :-)
