Because it's a waste of time until we get enough people saying they are
at least interested. I've done doodles before and it's only worth it
when there is pre-commitment to the idea of having a meeting.

Hi,

I dont know if I can make it this Friday, but could you also
point out the time
in UTC too? For a continental european guest a time like
"12:00pm EST" is
ultimately confusing -- is that EST or 2400EST?

Sure, apologies for that :)

So for North America (or at least United States) we have:
PST (GMT - 7)
MDT (GMT -6)
CST (GMT - 5)
EST (GMT - 4)

Once I get a head count of who theoretically would be interested
if the time was right, we can start discussing what specific time
will work and I'll make sure to do the conversion to GMT :) As of
now it looks like 1200 (1900 GMT) on Friday isn't going to work as
there just doesn't seem to be availability/interest.

All the best,
Joel

yes, I have seen it ... ;)

But this is not the same as a daily build ... :( Do I really have to
download a packed – nearly – 17 GB large file to get a daily build,
where the Win build is only 119 MB of size? I would need less disk
space, if I could build the DEBs myself ... ;)

Christian mentioned on the Germanophone discuss list, that there
should be daily builds available for Debian the next days (see
http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/de/discuss/msg16212.html, alas
in German, sorry ... :( ). Would they be build from someone at TDF
for the next future? Or have I misunderstood Christian there?

That would be nice (especially for "Linux" ... ;) ).

[Libreoffice-qa] daily master builds (was: [ANN] LibreOffice 4.1.2 RC3 test builds available)

Unless Im mistaken, that one gives you a dialy build of Windows master.
As for getting a recent test build for Debian, the bibisect repo at:

 http://people.canonical.com/~j-lallement/libreoffice/binrepo/

is a week old and thus should contain a recent (although admittedly rather
weekly then daily) build of LibreOffice master on Linux. As said, I am also
building on my personal machine right now, that should then contain Linux
master build up until ~right now. With:

 http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/minutes-of-ESC-call-td4077582.html

saying:

>+ build-bots are down, not seeing daily builds (Robinson)
>+ problems building master on release config - should be solved this

we should have decent -- if inconvenient -- coverage of builds on Windows and
Linux. The bumps inbetween are unfortunate, but kind of unavoidable as we are
migrating between builders.

oh, I know, that there is a wiki page about Bibisect, but Pedro was
talking about missing daily builds for Win as well as Debian ... ;)
Does it mean, that I should use the Bibisect instruction to get my
daily build ;?

I am still not sure, why you mentioned
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86@39/ in your last mail
... :(

Read you

and bibisect is daily master and works on debian.

As for the tone of your mail: Of course, this project has hundreds of
developers. The more respectful you are to them and their work, the more likely
they are to genuinely care about you quick and fast when you have trouble.
