Actually my sentence was incorrect. I said "If you are really interested in
testing it you can still find it at some mirrors e.g. " when in fact the
4.0.6.2 build is no longer available in the pre-release but it is being
uploaded to all mirrors. So I should have said "you can *already* find it at
some mirrors"

There will be a second announcement when it is available in all mirrors and
then the link in the download page you mentioned will change to the RC2.

So, you are correct that 4.0.6.2 should have stayed available in the
pre-release folder even if 4.1.3.1 is being replaced by 4.1.3.2 (this was
probably a mistake...)

Since currently there are two versions available at pre-release most of the
time, there should be either two separate folders (e.g. pre-release\stable
and pre-release\current) or keep a single folder but find some mechanism
that prevents builds from being erased before they are mirrored and publicly
announced...

Just my 2 cents ;)

This link (for example) :
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/?type=deb-x86_64&version=4.0.6&lang=fr
It gives only the RC1.

And the link in the mail that I answered is the only one related to LO

Why do you think this is wrong? It was available for a few days and now a
new build is available. In fact the official 4.0.6 should be out before next
week...

If you are really interested in testing it you can still find it at some
mirrors e.g.
http://mirror.unlogisch.ch/tdf/libreoffice/testing/4.0.6/

Hope this helps ;)

Thank you for the information. However some of the "Windows tinderboxes"

I'm re-adding Thorsten in the loop (he is the admin for #42) just in case he

BTW Thorsten could you please rename your TB to Win-x86@42 (with a lower

and to make it easier for Florian's Server Instal GUI?

2) Add the details of your Tinderbox to the table at

Reason is a change that disables creation of installer packages unless
one specifies --with-package-format with the corresponding flag.

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=8fc7e560db11f424362c8effdeb61eb8d1526256

So please contact the corresponding tinderbox admins, point them to
the above change and ask them to add

 --with-package-format=msi

to their autogen.input files if they're not using the distro-configs.

(no need to poke #47 admin, that's me :-))

[Libreoffice-qa] [ANN] LibreOffice 4.1.3 RC2 test builds available

2013-10-23 Thread Christian Lohmaier
Hi *,

for the upcoming new version 4.1.3, most of the builds for RC2 are now
available on pre-releases (Windows still pending)
It is the last of two planned RCs - see the plan here:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/4.1#4.1.3_release

Grab the builds from here here:

 http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/

If you've a bit of time, please give them a try & report *critical*
bugs not yet in bugzilla here, so we can incorporate them into the
release notes. Please note that it takes approximately 24 hours to
populate the mirrors, so that's about the time we have to collect
feedback.

NOTE: This build is in a release configuration and _will_ replace your
existing LibreOffice install on Windows.

The list of fixed bugs relative to 4.1.3RC1 is here:

http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/src/bugs-libreoffice-4-1-3-release-4.1.3.2.log

So playing with the areas touched there also greatly appreciated -
and validation that those bugs are really fixed.

Special thanks to all QA, developers, bugreporters who did make this possible.

Björn did write a script to create some bug-handler stats - you'll
find the number of bugs along with the names in the wiki (
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Releases/4.1.3/RC2#Thanks_to_all_who_took_part_in_handling_the_issues
)

Of course also big thanks to contributors who do great work in other
areas that cannot be put into numbers!

Thanks a lot for your help,
Christian

[Libreoffice-qa] [ANNOUNCE] Tag libreoffice-4.1.3.2 (on branch libreoffice-4-1-3) created

2013-10-23 Thread Christian Lohmaier
Hi all,

The tag libreoffice-4.1.3.2 (AKA 4.1.3 RC2) has been created on the
libreoffice-4-1-3 branch.
The branch will be used for fine tuning of the 4.1.3 release. (It is
the last scheduled RC)

The following rules apply to the branch:

+ preferably just translation or blocker fixes
+ only cherry-picking from libreoffice-4-1 branch
+ 2 additional reviews needed; 2nd reviewer pushes
+ no regular merges back to anything

The 'libreoffice-4-1' branch is still active and will be used for the
4.1.4 bugfix release. Please read more at
   http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/4.1#4.1.3_release
   http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Branches
   http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Release_Criteria

To checkout the tag, use

./g fetch --tags
./g checkout -b tag-libreoffice-4.1.3.2 libreoffice-4.1.3.2

Linux distro packages might find source tarballs at
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/src/
They will soon be available from the official page together with the builds.

Attached is the list of changes against 4.1.3 RC1

IMHO on the wiki, it only makes sense to have a 'staged description' of
whatever workflow. That is, have one description that covers the usual case
short and sweet and a second page/section with all the gory details. Both
should link to each other of course.
This is to:
- not scare away newcomers with too much detail
- allowing people to add details without bitrotting the short description into
  a long and winding one.

Hi, Florian

The reason for my 1st message is very simple. I use NT-5.1/2, but I do not
know which configurations should be at my computer. LibO-Dev_4.2.0
MSI-packages are used different MS_VCR (2010 and 2012), and as a result,
have different bugs.

Best regards, ape

You haven't. At least not deliberately ;)

I know, Florian ;) I thanked you for that in a previous email
