[Libreoffice-qa] The Wiki-page "ReleaseNotes_4.2" requires replacement one image

2013-12-17 Thread ape
Hi, all!

 Look at the wikiPage https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.2
--
GUI
- ...
- Implementing an about:config functionality in Options tab (Efe Gürkan
YALAMAN):
--
It seems to me, the image
(https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:Expert_Config.png) needs to be
replaced, because now the option is located on the tab "Advanced" - button
"Expert Config Page".

Thanks for your feedback. There are several pictures/features that need
update. I was waiting for the RC to take care of the page.
Kind regards
Sophie

Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Fwd: FreedomSponsors, LibreOffice and Bugzilla

2013-12-17 Thread vulcain
Hello,
Thanks to Sophie to give me the link.

I think it's a good idea to show a link in Bugzilla to crowdfunding.

Cannonical give a similar feature in Launchpad 6 years ago but with a little
use and it's before the big wave of KickStarter & Co:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/91201 The feature have been
removed.

If you search a little, you could find some requests to collect money and
paid a developer to resolve a bug or code a new feature, example:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118665#c128,
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124096 or
http://www.gimpusers.com/polls/111

/(I see that freedomSponsor make a big lobbing, Mozilla have a similar
message:
http://mozilla.6506.n7.nabble.com/A-Bugzilla-plugin-for-FreedomSponsors-Can-you-help-td287367.html

)/

For me it 's a good answer for the no-developer member: if you have a
problem, the free software's licence give you the right to change it. But,
it's need you have the knowledge. If you don't have this knowledge, you
must:
* wait
* buzz for give focus in your bug
* paid a developer to make a patch
* priest
* kidnap a developer

A link to a crowdfunding websites, help them to paid a developer.

When i see
https://github.com/freedomsponsors/freedomsponsors-bugzilla-plugin, i have a
little problem: it's only for freedomsponsor site ?? And the other site??
One is good, a lot of is better.

I think a specific items (like "See also", "Keyword") where we could add a
link should be great.

The top is API who give the link and all the money collected.

Hi everyone,

Here are the final tallies from the voting:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Meetings/2013/December_16#PENDING_ITEM:_Bugzilla_Migration_etc.

blo (1)
libo (2)
lbz (3)
lob (3)
lo (6)
lobz (7)

-

Separated by just a single vote, lo and lobz are (unsurprisingly) the
favorites :-)

Best,

Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Firebird - creating auto-increment fails via Tools - SQL

Yes, I agree, but after having read your section in the Base Guide on
setting up a firebird db as an external datasource, I can safely say
that this is not something basic noob database users are going to be
doing any time soon. It might be OK and rational for people like you and
I, but the whole idea of integrating Firebird was to make it as capable,
or more capable than Hsqldb, without having to rely on Java and the
inherent data insecurity of embedded hsqldb. At present, it is easier to
set up an external hsqldb connection, or even an external H2 connection,
than it is to set up an external Firebird server and LO connection.

Agreed, and hopefully it will stay experimental until these basic user
issues are resolved.
