that strange, because I tested it with the same version under Ubuntu.
Note: it's not replaced until you select it, it's just a suggestion.

Yes for me, the exception is used only to enhance your language when
writing, for example suggest "may" instead of "might".

may be but he didn't explain how to reproduce, he didn't explain if it's
a feature or a bug, I invite him to the user list...

and I invite him to discuss here and each time give the steps on how to
reproduce. Why should I let a bug open when I don't see how to reproduce
it and there is no explanation done. This not a matter of reason but of
bug triaging. You know, I'm patient and old enough to stay calm ;)

OK, but that works already (you need to allow spellcheck for capitalize
words though)

This one should be handled by Autocorrection, this is not an exception
but a rule or a misspelling if you prefer.

So still I don't see where is the enhancement. Sorry if I seems stupid
on this but I've tested your examples and they are working for me.

Actually after repeating your instructions step-by-step, in my computer
using LO 4.2.1.1 it doesn't even work... i.e. foo is not replaced by bar...

If Urmas is creating an Exception dictionary and Exception means the same
thing as in the Tools > Autocorrect options Help "letter combinations that
you do not want LibreOffice to correct automatically" then it doesn't make
sense that he expects the word to be capitalized. The rule applies to that
single letter combination *because* it is an exception...

You are right that it is not a bug and it doesn't make sense that it would
behave differently if it is an *exception*

Unless Urmas did not explain clearly...

I still think you loose reason by closing the bug. This only annoys people.
If the bug submitter does not understand your point he sees this as you
using force to shut him up.

Cheers,
Pedro

I agree with a feature request. :)

Laszlo Nemeth has fixed
Bug 37954 - EDITING Writer AutoSpellcheck flags capitalized words as
misspelled despite being added lowercase in the custom dictionary
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37954
Status: RESOLVED FIXED (available in v4.0).

(Example: extrusión · Extrusión · EXTRUSIÓN)

So Urmas wrote in Bug 61167 - Suggestions for titlecase prohibited
words in user dictionary:
"This should be brought in line with the recent support for cased
suggestions with standard user dictionaries."

Exeption dictionaries are user-defined dictionaries as follows:
"Specifies whether you wish to avoid certain words in your documents.
In this way, you can create a custom dictionary of all the words to be
avoided. If this exception dictionary is activated, during
spellchecking you receive a corresponding note about any words which
should be avoided."
https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Writing_Aids#User-defined_dictionaries

Examples for user requests:

(1) http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/2829/remove-alright-from-standarddic/
alright → all right
(then should also match: Alright → All right · ALRIGHT → ALL RIGHT)

(2)
http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/24170/how-do-i-correct-spelling-in-a-dictionary/
agendas → agenda
(then should also match: Agendas → Agenda · ALRIGHT → AGENDAS)

(3)
http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/1699/e-possivel-editar-o-db-do-corretor-ortografico-can-i-edit-the-spellchecker-database/?answer=1705#post-id-1705
numero → numéro
(then should also match: Numero → Numéro · NUMERO → NUMÉRO)

Have a nice day
Manfred

Have you seen my last comment and my screenshot. I don't see what is the

Re: [Libreoffice-qa] 'free' testing on Moztrap

2014-02-21 Thread Yifan Jiang
Hi Sophie,

Ah, I just got your role updating in Moztrap from test manager to
admin (Sorry I should have noticed that).

So you may probably see more user information from the management
interface Manage -> Users.

Moztrap registration needs email activate before usable for test, so I
guess most of the emails should be activated. Does it partly resolve
the problem? :)

Best wishes,
Yifan

Yes it works, and several testers use it, that's a great feature when
you understand Bugzilla and write in English fluently. But I would like
Moztrap to be accessible to all, even for QA beginners.
What I miss the most for the moment (out of l10n ;) is a way to contact
the tester. MozTrap shows only the user name but no way contact him, so
if I need more information to open a bug based on his feedback, it's not
easy.
Cheers
