One of the best ways for us to keep up with the 23+ bugs that are filed each day is for us to grow the QA Team. Whenever you meet someone in IRC, or have a good experience with someone in Bugzilla, invite them to join us -- ask them to help test a bug, or ask them for input about something small. If we can build a relationship with the bug reporters, they can become amazing contributors to LibreOffice and TDF. We're already doing a lot of great outreach/invite work, especially in the IRC channel, but we've still got a lot of room to expand, especially to help us deal with all of the weird bugs that require things like Netware and Visio. Remember to think outside the box: Anyone can become a member of our team, even if they don't see themselves as being a geeky or technical personyet ;-) It's a pleasure working with all of you! [Libreoffice-qa] UNCONFIRMED: Under 300!
Hi all, A big thanks to everyone who's been working on UNCONFIRMED bugs lately. We've just broken the 300 mark and we're getting much better at triaging incoming bugs promptly. Ideally, we'd like to see incoming UNCONFIRMED bugs get a response within a week and be triaged within 2 weeks. If we look at the stats, I think we're well on our way... Here are some stats from earlier today: Currently, we have a number of bugs still languishing in UNCONFIRMED status: Percent older than 2 weeks: 86% But, just looking at the last two weeks: Bugs filed: 327 (~23/day) UNCONFIRMED: 10% (43) From the last month: Bugs filed: 700 (~23/day) UNCONFIRMED: 6.6% (46) That's great! Let's look back over the last year (since 2014-01-17) Bugs filed: 9037 UNCONFIRMED: 2.8% (256) NEEDINFO: 9.2% (838) RESOLVED/CLOSED: 52% (4720) NEW/ASSIGNED/REOPENED: 36% (3223) Which leaves us 57 UNCONFIRMED bugs that are over a year old. Here's the list -- please see what bugs you can tackle! https://bugs.freedesktop.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&f0=OP&f1=OP&f2=creation_ts&f3=CP&f4=CP&j1=OR&o2=lessthan&product=LibreOffice&v2=2014-01-17 Cheers, --R -- Robinson Tryon QA Engineer - The Document Foundation LibreOffice Community Outreach Herald qu...@libreoffice.org ___ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: Libreoffice-qa@lists.freedesktop.org Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
