Do you mean someone will break something in LibreOffice and will fix it
in the future or do you mean someone break accessibility and Hypra has
to fix it itself in the future ?

In the last scenario, I don't see any reason to have non-regression test
as we already know that people usually don't take care of accessibility
and it's why we're forced to keep LibreOffice 4.2 for now. If we expect
to have one developer fixing bug of thousand of others (on many free
software) especially because it's accessibility I don't think it's reliable.

Alex.

Re: [Libreoffice-qa] Next level of QA and how to get there

Hello everyone,

Hello Xisco,

For instance, we could run the week/month of QA, similar to the Month Of
LibreOffice, where we could try to put the list of unconfirmed bugs to
150/200 and engage new contributors in the project...

It's a good idea. In France, Sophie has organized contribution meetings
where we're trying to tackle unconfirmed bug.

It's just an idea but it could help the team to reach the steps
described by Buovjaga in a reasonable amount of time.

What do you think?

In the Paris area, there are lot of contribution meetings where it could
be useful to propose LibreOffice sessions to help people to be involved
in the LibreOffice project. It's an example but I personally think
physical meeting is the better way to find new contributors.

I'm already fully involved in accessibility of many free software so I
couldn't do more right now.

Best regards,
Alex.

[Libreoffice-qa] Presentation

2016-07-06 Thread Alex ARNAUD

Dear LibreOffice community,

I am one of the visual impaired members of Hypra, a society that
provides services to visual impaired people and helps in GNU/Linux
accessibility.

I've made actions in the QA side in reporting LibreOffice issues.

My first work was to clean and update all accessibility bugs related to
the Linux environment.

I'll continue to follow LibreOffice and get involved with the this team
for the LibreOffice improvement.

I've also tested LibreOffice Online and reported the first issues on
accessibility.

A part of Hypra will be at LibreOffice Con 2016 to present the
importance of inclusion in our community and the results of first tasks
about accessibility and bug reporting.

You can contact me by mail or on IRC (on freenode with the nick
"alexarnaud").

Best regards.

[Libreoffice-qa] What is the status of accessibility in test suite of LibreOffice ?

2016-05-11 Thread Alex ARNAUD

Dear QA Team,

Do you have developed unit test for LibreOffice about accessibility for
GNU/Linux ?
I mean by accessibility the capability for assistive technologies to
access to LibreOffice via AT-SPI2 and the capability for an user to
access to a feature with any way (mouse, keyboard, etc).

One of the units tests could be, for instance, to verify when
LibreOffice displays a menu item it sends the appropriate event to AT-SPI2.
Do such tests exist? It would enable to automate accessibility tests and
identify potential bugs as soon as a code is modified or added.

Best regards.

[Libreoffice-qa] Status of accessibility of LibreOffice Online

2016-05-10 Thread Alex ARNAUD

Dear QA Team,

I've done a test of LibreOffice Online acccessibility on GNU/Linux with
the Orca screenreader and Firefox
athttps://www.collaboraoffice.com/try-collabora-cloudsuite/.
What have you done to make LibreOffice Online accessible for assistive
technologies ?

The result of my test is that LibreOffice Online is completely not
usable for a blind person.
For your information, Google Doc provides a correct accessibility that
makes it usable for the blind.

Are there projects about this ? Is there someone in the community who
told you this?

It seems important to have such thought now, as it would be hard to make
LO accessible once development is architecture fully. And given the role
of such LO release in professional world, its inaccessibility would

be a problem.

Best regards.
