Works as expected. The bug has been fixed since version LO 4.2.0.4 here. Could only reproduce with LO 4.2.0.0rc1 and earlier versions of LO 4.2. Regards Robert Sorry folks for a false alarm. I had entered data on a form in the main form and subform. So there was no information in the subform's subform. When I looked at other records in which all three had data in them (main form, subform, and the subform's subform), the data was where it should be. Changing records in the subform also changed was shown in its subform. So this is working correctly. I just messed up in looking at the wrong records. So, there is no bug in 4.2.6.3 and 4.2.7.1 RC1. Re: [Libreoffice-qa] [ANN] LibreOffice 4.2.7 RC1 test builds available
Dan, *, Lionel would need to comment, but with just the final bug-fix release pending, IMHO it is not going to make it into 4.2 Suspect this is one of those issues that really can not, and should not be back ported--as simply too much of the infrastructure in base changed between 4.2 and 4.3--pushing it back to 4.2 with minimal testing this late in its cycle would leave it vulnerable to nasty regression. Whether it is back ported or not, it does need to be mentioned in the release notes as a problem that is not solved until 4.3.2.1. What is the bug number? Sometimes a fix was not backported, because the author did not have a 4.2 build to test and did not care that much about the old stable branch. If this was the case, then we can still do it. We have this section of the wiki page for 4.2: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.2#Most_Annoying_Bugs It does say "Most Annoying Bugs," so I wouldn't expect it to be entirely inclusive of all bugs open against 4.2, but at least in this case it sounds like this problem should be on the mab4.2 list. Bigger-picture, I'm now wondering if we can programmatically determine which documented bugs still affect the latest Still or Fresh release. Hmm (Thinking out loud: - If a bug is still open, then it definitely could affect any builds. - If the bug is resolved, "target:X.y.z" whiteboard tags that are newer than the current release could indicate the bug affects that build. - Specific repro tests are buried in comments, and aren't structured enough (yet) for us to scrape in a script. ) -- Robinson Tryon QA Engineer - The Document Foundation LibreOffice Community Outreach Herald qu...@libreoffice.org ___ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: Libreoffice-qa@lists.freedesktop.org Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
