Including in non-printing would be OK for me.
But we may expect people to start complaining about that?
Whatever change is chosen: I'm a fan of easy toggling the visibility on and of.

Hi all,

Me too like the new color dialog.
However, the current drop downs have an advantage to: navigating with key board
is fast and easy. down, page down, and the start letter of a color all work.
So when that can be included, I'm all for the idea.

What do others think about that?
Cor

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 87676] TOOLBAR: Hiding 'line and filling' and 'text formatting' toolbars by default

2015-01-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87676

--- Comment #4 from Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl ---
(In reply to Jay Philips from comment #2)

Yes the object, image, and formatting toolbars hide and unhide depending on
 context.

Indeed, it are only three here.
But with removing two, we would accept the slide area shifting down when an
image becomes selected.
Is that worth the gain? I would expect people working with images would be
annoyed.
Or is the plan to remove that one too (is all the stuff from the images toolbar
to the side bar?) ?

(Now I see that when a frame is selected, the side bar has the character and
paragraph parts of the panel active and not the area and line. Must be for
another issue?)

Based on the minutes from last week's UX chat meeting, I'll set the status back
to NEW.

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Meetings/2015-01-14

conclusion: The Window's closing button should indeed close
the window, not dock the sidebar

I also submitted a simple patch to gerrit that should take care of this
behavior, but it feels a bit hacky. I guess we'll see what happens when it's
reviewed.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 75493] style for formula in writer

--- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel rb.hensc...@t-online.de ---
The suggested way is currently not possible, because each formula is indeed an
autonomous document, which is inserted as OLE object. The graphic style can
only work on the shown replacement graphic but not on the formula document
itself. In addition, the graphic styles in Writer do not have a property 'font
size'.

Major modifications in the code would be necessary to implement such a feature.

Not duplicate, but related issue
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32419

I use Basic macros for this purpose.
