Hi Mamane,

I had went through the description and progress discussed in comment section.
It is quite interesting as changes needed to be made in part of the program
that gets used everywhere.
Right now, I am skimming over the code pointers (Thanks for that) and trying to
get where Adriani was struck.

I guess, we need to work separately for this RATHER THAN depending mostly on
the implementation already available.
Since this could be very helpful in implementing timezone challenge.

Another facet, the change from CLSID to KNOWNFOLDERID based method is only
supported from MS Windows Vista onward. We will need to consider provision for
update of Windows XP while that remains a "supported" OS.

I understand the problem of increase the area; fine with me. But why is there a
table column selection option when dragging by holding the left click in the
left margin (between -2 and -1 in the ruler) and for the right side (between
17,5 and 19 cm)

About: You have to include the paragraph before and after the table in order to
cut (and delete) it. LibreOffice works here like GDoc and, IIRC, MS Word.

You get a clear feedback with the cursor. It becomes a big arrow pointing to
the left when you are in the area left of the table for selecting a row, or
it's a downward arrow for columns, and on the top-left edge the arrow points to
south-west indicating the table selection. If we increase the area you run into
trouble when you want to add something next to the table, e.g. the text above.
So it just WFM.

Screenshot of the issue

The UI looks like a checkbox (although it does not work with unusual themes)
but likely is just a button. And I guess the blank rectangle in the icon is a
result from this bad design. So when the checkbox would be fully functional we
could show the effective color depending on background or whatever is relevant
instead of the blank.

Alternatively, as a simple solution, a hatching could better indicate that the
color is applied automatically.

Thanks for the link, don't remember this decision.

How I understand the request is to rather have a variable precision for the
input. And somehow I also imagine a innovative visualization if the value has
more digits.

Agree with Thorsten.

Just wonder whether we should show an InfoBar in the "All good" state. Maybe
that could be too annoying for people who use this feature often.

I'd prefer red for the 'broken signature' state (when someone tampered with the

we use that combination for more than 1 year.

If an easyhack missed e.g. code pointers needsDevEval is set. Please do a
search, to see how often that combination is used.

Did you think of needsDevAdvice, which is used for developer advice (whether or
not a think is doable at all).

Just to be clear, I only abandoned it as part of the regular gerrit cleanup,
because it had a comment
"IMHO, it may be dropped and if someone wants to maintain it as an extension,
this person can retrieve the code in git history."

I have no opinion on whether or not this patch is ok or not.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 105566] New: Show InfoBar when document has invalid signature

2017-01-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105566

Bug ID: 105566
Summary: Show InfoBar when document has invalid signature
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: s.mehrbr...@gmail.com
CC: katarina.behr...@cib.de,
libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org,
t...@libreoffice.org

Currently the status of the signature is shown as an icon in the status bar:
https://help.libreoffice.org/5.3/Common/About_Digital_Signatures#Open_a_signed_document

When the signature is broken, we should display a red infobar instead.
Maybe we could also display an InfoBar for the other two states (valid, partly
valid).
