The simplest and best solution is to simply rename it to 'Properties' for both
frames and objects, as we use that for other objects like tables and images.

UX: isn't this included in the idea of bug 87787?

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 102915] Restore Clear Direct Formatting (an uno: ResetAttributes command) to the context menu

2017-06-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102915

Yes that will work.

And I'm looking forward to seeing the additional UNO commands needed for bug
108030 and bug 101896 also making it into the "Styles" context menu.

For starters need to think about how to handle Thomas's suggestion of a means
to remove applied Character styles (bug 85940 #15). In the sense that, like
"Clearing Direct Formatting" here, providing a capability via context menu to
reset the style(s) of selection to defined Default(s) is helpful.

Not all the controls for the Menu as tdf#101896, but at least changing the
selection back to document default styles.

(In reply to Thomas Lendo from comment #16)

Yes the intent now is not to use sub-submenus, but to have them listed in the
styles submenu. Yes people who want to access styles will use it this way.

Didnt quite follow this and style users care about styles.

Presently having a non-fixed style list requires dev work, so once the
necessary UNO command is created for it (bug 101896), this would be possible if
the list can be filtered by the styles that have been applied.
