[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 105538] Download destination folder should be default to Download folder on Windows

First this bug report is about the old update checker and not the new automatic updater. Most likely this bug will go away at some point just by removing the old update checker. The new updater is going to store the update files in the LibreOffice user profile for now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 111082] Allow change of orientation, by clicking on page image in the page style dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111082 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #3 from V Stuart Foote --- Hmm, the thumbnail preview widget already responds to setting any of the values--Format, Width, Height, Orientation, Text direction, Margins and Layout. Guess it would be possible to make the preview thumbnail active--but I would not remove any of the existing controls--they are sequenced for keyboar only use and a11y. But does it make sense to do so just for the page orientation? Might margins be dragable. Note that the same Page Style dialog, in the Borders dialog, we already have the Line Arrangement User-defined preview. That thumbnail widget s active--its sequence of "check-box" events are graphically shown in its preview frame with rendering responding to setting the Line: Style, Width, and Color values on the same dialog tab. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62554 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Component|LibreOffice |UI Resolution|--- |WONTFIX --- Comment #8 from Heiko Tietze --- It's common good practice to let the user know what's disabled in hierarchies such as page/tab controls or in menus. So the answer to "Should Split buttons on menus be context aware to the context of their child buttons?" is yes - the default function can be disabled - and no in case of 'menu buttons' that do not have a default action but always pop-up a menu that may contain only disabled items. => WF -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #2) > The blurry border looks pretty nice, doesn't it? And on Windows all sides > appear like this. So what's your OS/DE? The inner blur looks good as the page also has outer blur, but the page edge looks crisper/flatter without the inner blur. I'm on Linux Mint. (In reply to Fabian Alexander Wilms from comment #3) > Especially on desktop environment with a flat design, like Windows 10 / KDE > 5.10, a crisp border would look better, in my opinion. The document area of the UI is the same on any OS and this shouldnt change. So i checked MS Word 2010 and 2013 and they only have a 1px border. WPS Writer and iWork Pages dont have a border at all. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110436 Gabor Kelemen changed: What|Removed |Added CC||kelem...@ubuntu.com --- Comment #12 from Gabor Kelemen --- It is also useful for quickly applying different master pages to different slides. Imagine creating several custom master pages for a default template used by a company. When you create a new slide it inherits the master page setting of the previous slide. How can one switch to the other custom master page? 1) On the Master Pages side bar, under the Used in this Presentation section click on the master page 2) Right click the slide in the left Slides pane, choose the Slide Master Design menu item. In the Slide Design window, double click on the master page you want, or select it and click OK. Thus the alternatives are: one click vs a local menu and a window to navigate around.
