We do have subtotal() but not with a fancy menu (or any good support).
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.1/en-US/text/scalc/01/04060106.html?DbPAR=CALC#bm_id3165633

I suggest to create a new ticket as the style aspect is discussed in the other
bug. The solution could be a menu entry (resp. UNO command) that pops-up the
dropdown and asks after click for the range if none has been defined before.

So my take is to add the button as Roman suggests but a little bit less
obtrusive next to the label. The button could be labeled "Refresh". If
possible, the contained tables should be loaded automatically.

That's likely an easyhack.

One can enter an arbitrary URL as source (in fact the most common use case),
then no dropdown nor file selection is involved.

Why don't we load the tables a source has been selected (dropdown closed or
file selected)?

If there a refresh is needed sometimes we could also add a smaller button right
of the caption.

Per previous comment, this bug is about "subtotal drop down list of functions".
It's obvious Calc doesn't have it but whether this bug should be confirmed
depends on a decision.
I'm not sure if this is more NeedsUXEval or NeedsDevAdvice.

+1 to the request. In case of protection we could disable the checkbox.

The checkbox would be under "Other options" perhaps next to "Current selection
only" and ideally called "[ ] Include hidden text".

No further input from UX needed, IMHO. Maybe an esayhack.

Yes, that violates the guideline
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/SideBar

> 6) click on Styles title or press Escape key (focus is now on Styles title)

Weird behavior.

Totally wrong, true.

We have clearly stated in the HIG that

| 5) Use Escape to go back one step in the navigation, meaning from the content
to the content panel title and then to the document.

So yes, your request is valid.

My take is to remove the checkboxes. It's more consistent with other modules
when toolbars show up depending on the context rather than a user setting. It
makes no sense to show query options when you are in forms mode.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 113605] TABLES: Column/row properties of a are not preserved on copy into an existing table (Paste Special - RTF?)

Tables can have a direct formatting (cell background or font color, for
example, set) and a styles (also known as Table > Autoformat Styles... from the
past, now available as Table Style in the sidebar). Copy/paste should preserve
the formatting but Paste Special should allow to insert the source unformatted.
When copying content from a table with style (let's say even column with
shading) the target style has to be used (similar discussion on what should
happens for copy/paste with styles but for slides in bug 112697).
