[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 122444] FontWork should be available in Navigator

(In reply to Dieter Praas from comment #3)

It is not yet possible as needed. The Navigator in Draw/Impress has for 'Show
Shapes' the options 'Named shapes' and 'All shapes'. But in mode 'All shapes'
the selection of a shape via Navigator does not work. (bug 62851, bug 90277,
bug 111839).

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 122448] New: View -> Master Slide vs Slide -> Master Slide... in Impress

2019-01-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122448

Bug ID: 122448
Summary: View -> Master Slide vs Slide -> Master Slide... in
Impress
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: needsUXEval
  Severity: trivial
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-b...@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu
CC: libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org

In the following commit Jay changed the previous name from "Master Slide
Design..." to "Master Slide...":
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=e82e05380aecd53a89bc77dc97aba72f6d56ba83

While I agree that the name Master Slide Design wasn't fitting (same with the
title of the dialog: Slide Design), I think it'd be clearer if menu items doing
different things wouldn't share the same name.

Heiko/UX team, what are your thoughts?

I would prefer the first solution. Regina, how is it possible to change
Navigator to make all shapes available?

The Fontwork-shape has not got an automatic name. It will be visible, when you
have named it. So the request would be, to name Fontwork-shapes automatically,
same as done with other shapes. Or to change Navigator to make all shapes
available, whether they are named or not.

The more options you have the less easy a dialog is to use. Why not just
remember the last choice (and do this by default on similar occasions, eg. bug
122362)?

Yes, and there is another aspect discussed at bug 115311 with a mockup how it
could be solved.
