[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 125280] Footer can not be made to appear only on the first page after it has been filled with content
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125280 Timur changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Severity|minor |enhancement Status|NEW |RESOLVED --- Comment #2 from Timur --- LO works somewhat differently than MSO and it has options "same content on first page" and "same content on right and left pages". You first enabled footer content and it was created on both pages. When in 6. you unchecked both options, there are two options: - that *other* footer content disappears, and that's what you seems to expect, - that *other* footer content is separated, but duplicated at the beginning. Obviously LO chooses 2nd option, you get "First Page Footer" and "Footer" that you can independently change. And I find it correct because you alredy had content. If you remove "same content on first page" that doesn't mean that you want none at others if it already exist. If you wish you can remove *other* footer, you just delete "Footer". This is a request for behavior change, so enhancement. I wouldn't call this a bug so I mark as NotaBug. But let UX confirm. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 125227] duplicate assignment of accelerators on a single menu disrupts keyboard use, eliminate duplicate accelerators
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125227 --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to TorrAB from comment #4) > Ah! Now I understand the indirect (via Enter) shortcut: duplication! > Well, duplicate assignments should be avoided (if not prohibited). Easily: > make shortcuts case-sensitive, as in Format: +o -> > * h (C_haracter); H (Anc_Hor); or > * a (P_aragraph); A (Rot_Ate or Flip) > Most shortcuts would not change; capitals would be assigned to less-used > menu items. In the above example, user must (currently) hit 'a' twice, then > Enter, to open the RotateOrFlip menu; with a case-sensitive assignment, A > (shift-a) would do it. Unfortunately that would not work--keyboard gymnastics to enter sequence of to toggle accelerators active, then to remember if the mnemonic is upper or just the lower. *Not* the best UX. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 125275] change default grid size to 25x25 mm = 1x1 zoll
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125275 --- Comment #3 from Regina Henschel --- I have no strong opinion about it. I use 0.5cm with 5 spaces as default in Draw. If I need a grid in Impress, then I set it according my current task, the default 2cm is always too wide. I do not use a grid in Writer, but set positions via dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125217 --- Comment #4 from Muhammet Kara --- Yep. Definitely interesting. In fact, I was going to do something 'similar' a few months ago, but gave up because it didn't get support. :) (Search for "Please dont introduce a new dialog" in the Design channel on telegram for the context. I guess my mockup skills wasn't enough to convey the idea.)
