Let's see if the UX team want to have a look at this and discuss the possibility of turning off pair kerning by default. The advantage seems not clear-cut to me, and I don't think it's possible to turning it off only for certain fonts. For people not familiar with pair kerning: The option to turn it on/off is located at the "Position" tab of the character formatting or paragraph style dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

The problem is more my hesitation to write it down in a way people don't get overwhelmed or confused. The logic of the dialog is already that confusing (for me), that the attempt to write it down (in a single report) becomes 'as confusing' as the incidents experienced . And me lacking the right vocabulary to be very precise about what the problem is, how and when it occurs (and cases where it does function) doesn't help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 143252] UI: Change in table border color is directly applied to selected border (should be disconnected)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143252 --- Comment #1 from Heiko Tietze --- Duplicates bug 139838. Assume the opposite: you pick one of the border lines and apply a color but want to change it immediately again. If you block this because your use case is to select a color and apply it per click on any line, this wont be possible. Plus, iterating through the states (on, keep, off - bug 107679 and more recently bug 139838) wouldn't be possible without applying a color. So my take => WF. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143246 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added Blocks||87064 Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC|libreoffice-ux-advise@lists |heiko.tietze@documentfounda |.freedesktop.org|tion.org Keywords|needsUXEval | --- Comment #2 from Heiko Tietze --- And "Apply" is not taking the color into the list of recently used. But Ok does, and shows this color in the picker later. Don't know if this was done intentionally and the use case to keep the previous color so it's possible to reset after Apply is quite far-fetched. So let's treat this as a bug. Steps again: 1. Right click a paragraph style on the Stylist 2. Change the font color to a custom color (eg from yellow to red) 3. Apply 4. Open the custom color picker again and it's initialize with the original color (yellow) not the actual (red) Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87064 [Bug 87064] [META] Color picker dialog bugs and enhancements -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
