Imma be honest, I don't care about this bug anymore, here's why: Do you see
that "See also" up there? That bug 153534. Go read that related report, and the
relations to that report. This left-right-page thing is a whole battlefield and
the workaround of this is just to tell your printer guy which pages are
one-sided and which are double-sided. Tbh, I wouldn't look too much into it.
I thank you for the support, anyway, but... just don't waste your time on this.

I confirm it with

Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d7c609dbb1bd08865b43719d2fb7c316d30bcde5
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL threaded

But I'm not convinced, that it is a bug. Talking about "right side page" does
only make sense, if there is a left side page, too. Pnd therefore pafge numbers
1, 3, 5, ... looks logic to me. But I would pershaps expect, that page numbers
in page dialog change to 1, 3, 5, ...

Let'S ask desing-team for their opinion and decision

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 154140] Bring back the transparency option

2023-03-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon

(In reply to Eyal Rozenberg from comment #2)
> What was the rationale for moving it to Expert Options?

Good question. The commit message making the change points to
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=Design/Whiteboards/Options/Global
see
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=0b0fb87fbac36ef9fbf3dfeac0f1372617f4b3e4

Motivation: These settings aren't necessary for the usability of LibreOffice
and don't comply with our design principles.

---

Based on few ask question the main issue is that the cell Selection is
following system colors. If you have a yellow system color (which appears to be
the case here), you will have hard time noticing selections. Especially with
high transparency (low contrast)

Some other ask reports:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/calc-how-to-change-color-of-selected-cell-indicator/76852
https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/how-to-change-calc-cell-selector-colour-on-7-3-on-macos/73847

If I read this correctly the removal of Selection.Transparency pre-dates the
issue. So nobody missed it until some started pointing to it to solve this way
