[Bug 159096] Comment indicator in Calc should be red, not magenta

One idea was to invert the cell background color (or to diverge from the hard-coded color if too close to the cell background). The algorithm would be tricky but variable colors make the display busy. So we decided to keep following the example of Excel but adjust the glossy magenta to the more suited "Light Magenta 3", which works well with both bright and dark cell backgrounds. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
[Bug 159073] Remove status bar 'document modified' indicator
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159073 Heiko Tietze changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WONTFIX Severity|normal |enhancement Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #7 from Heiko Tietze --- We discussed the topic in the design meeting. Redundant information is not bad per se, the toolbar button is primarily meant to run an action but not to give feedback, and with the Notebookbar UI it's not guaranteed to see the toolbar info. And the statusbar icon looks pretty nice. So let's save our sleep and resolve this NAB/WF. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

PS11 changes the popup menu to always show the menu and all entries, even when it just allows to insert a hyperlink. [Bug 159073] Remove status bar 'document modified' indicator
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159073 --- Comment #6 from Jim Raykowski --- Whether the document is saved or not seems like status to me. I like the tool tips for the status bar control better than the one in the toolbar. The status control shows the following tool tips: "The document has been modified. Click to save the document." "The document has not been modified since the last save." versus "Save (shortcut)" for the toolbar No loss of sleep if it does go away :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

[Bug 158876] Autocorrect options are very confusing and difficult to use
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158876 --- Comment #5 from Eyal Rozenberg --- Heiko, given what Jan says, how about the following concrete suggestions: 1. Separate the list into two lists, one for textual replacements/corrections, and one for formatting/structural element introduction (if you believe a third category is appropriate, let's do that). 2. Change phrasing for textual replacement items to clarify what is replaced with what. Example "Replace dashes" could become "Replace dash sequence with En-Dash or Em-Dash" 3. Improve descriptions of structural element introduction items. e.g. "Bulleted and numbered lists" - what about them? Even this is an improvement: "Recognize bulleted or numbered paragraphs" and we could also split the two kinds and have "Recognize bulleted paragraph by bullet symbol at paragraph start" and "Recognize numbered paragraph by a number and delimiter at paragraph start" or something along those lines. 4. (Maybe) Add a longer explanation in a tooltip. That's a rather conservative change IMHO. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
