[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 143469] Font Effects -> Outline feature
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143469 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added CC||libreoffice-ux-advise@lists ||.freedesktop.org, ||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu Blocks||71732 Keywords||needsUXEval --- Comment #1 from V Stuart Foote --- It does not "wraps the letter in a border of that color", rather only the strokes of the glyphs are rendered in the font color--but with outline effect there is then no fill with the font color--the interiors of the glyph remain white. Set the area fill to a color for the draw TextBox--the "counters" will show the area fill of the TextBox. Not clear there is any real advantage to providing differing stroke and fill color controls for glyphs in sd TextBox; but it should be possible. [Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 143469] Font Effects -> Outline feature
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143469 --- Comment #5 from Joe --- Here are images of the literal menu I'm talking about in PPT: https://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/learn/textandfonts/images/textoutline2013-02.png https://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/learn/textandfonts/images/textoutline2013-03.png __ Here's a sample of the result, black text with an orange outline: https://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/learn/textandfonts/images/textoutline2013-05.png ___ In its current state, this CANNOT be done in LibreOffice without resorting to FontWorks or Intersecting Shapes over a text box. While these methods work simple tasks, they're too clumsy and time consuming for large amounts of text across multiple slides (ie song lyrics), especially since I use software to build my slideshows automatically from plaintext files (pptxgenJS) I don't mean to be short tempered, but it's frustrating to see how easily misunderstood this one feature request is. I just want the freedom to change the outline color and font color to whatever pairing necessary, as well as the ability to adjust the thickness of that line color. The images above were pulled from an article written in 2015, as in 6 years ago. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-ux-advise mailing list Libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-ux-advise
