https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155131 --- Comment #7 from Gerhard Weydt --- An option to set alternating colours or shadings, as is possible for tables in dialogs or in Writer, would indeed be helpful in some cases. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

[Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 155131] Differentiate between lines in LO Base table editor and viewer with alternating shades.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155131 --- Comment #6 from Robert Großkopf --- Created attachment 187098 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=187098&action=edit Dialog with grid control shows how alternating colors will work Alternating colors for rows will work in a dialog by default. At this moment it is impossible to set this alternating colors for a grid control in a form. There is no property available to get this by macro. Working directly with tables, not in a form, has same problems. You will need this alternating of colors for tables with many fields. So you could better see: I have changed only this row and hadn't erroneously changed another. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

We maybe do not read the colors correctly on every OS. Please file a new bug Let's discuss the alternating row color here. I think it's too much visual noise. Off-topic: Mind to shorten your alias? [Libreoffice-ux-advise] [Bug 155131] Differentiate between lines in LO Base table editor and viewer with alternating shades.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155131 --- Comment #4 from third='beedell', first='roke', second='julian lockhart' --- Although, per https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=187079, it does seem like the dark theme is fairly inconsistent with the light one, and I do think that the lower contrast is nicer on the eyes. I'd love to see a new bug about this if you're willing, so that I can subscribe to it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

No. It might be slightly easier on the eyes, but the host theme colours should determine that, I imagine. Since it wouldn't solve this issue for me, I'd decide how to implement lighter line colours (if desirable) in another issue. Thanks, anyway. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
