Well you could try making it into a challenge ... see if you can get your PDA to talk
through your Libretto, off your kid's computer, out to @home, past the BSD box at
work, over the proxy, through the satlink and slam dunk onto AvantGo. Of course, it
just occurs to me ... is this sounding a bit like a basketball thing already? ;-)

*sigh* I'm in funny moods when I wake up ...

Well, I guess my next project will be to learn how to automatically redirect
mail to the circular file. And I thought I had completed my education this
week after setting up a hub for my computers and @home and a LAN betwenn my
kid's computer and the Libretto using WIN98. It was more difficult than when

What about a "special unsubscibe service" to people who doesn't know
how to snip quotes? I haven't read this list for a long time and
notice the problem with enormous non-snipped quotes is just the same.
I mean, seven new lines of top of eight hundred lines of quotes,

Greetings all,

The remote that comes with the 1100V say's programmable on it. I wanted to
use it in other programs. Specifically to act as an arrow key to turn pages.
While I'm laying reading e-books I am way to lazy to reach over and hit the
keys. Kinda lame but hey that's what relaxing is all about. Thanks for any

Thanks 4 ur explanation, this one was easy for me, heh heh.
Yes, I'm familiar with different scancodes for equally labeled keys.
I have (somewhere) a small utility that shows the scancode if you press a
key.

Still, I want to see what happens with the screen if I press the 'magic'
keycombination.

I will do a test now, connecting an external keyboard to my laptop (no, not
the Libby, coz i can't connect an external keyboard, unfortunately), and see
what happens.

Cheers

Well, that's what I did, and it worked fine.
Try them both and take your pick, I would say, yihaa!!

Check out my reply to a similar query earlier today!

(Or run xf86config as root and tell it to give you a virtual screen)

For what it's worth...it sounds like you've told somewhere in the setup that
your screen is bigger than it is. Your screen is 640x480 but a virtual
screen of 800x600 is more useful.

This is only the case if the external voltage goes away completely - or
pretty much so. The lib (50 at least, 70 assumed but not tested) switches
silently to internal power while still indicating external power is being
used.

I just woke up ... you reserve the right to abuse me in the list ;-)

HOkay, consider yourself abused :)

Don't bother with the extra cells (there, I've just saved you money!). Right
at the end of Xin's fixup battery page, there's a cheater circuit which
works very well from 12v - but note that the LED (not the diode) is the
wrong way round. When you use it, you should see a short flash on the LED.

That ought to do the trick but I don't know the trigger voltage - it may be
down a lot lower than that...there's a *very* clever switchmode between the
input socket and the internal circuitry/battery pack. Unfortunately I can't
think of a way to test the trigger voltage, except:

o charge internal cell to 100%
o run lib for an hour or so from a bench supply at (say) 11.5v
o check internal battery level
o if still 100%, try running at a lower input voltage
o repeat until you see some changes, set your voltage trigger a bit
higher...

How much did it cost you? The WaveLAN's and the Netgear cards both are
around $99, and they're supported under Linux (very important to me) ... now
I'm just waiting for my next paycheck. ;)
