[LIB] CT50 Diagnostics disk?

2002-07-17 Thread Tim Aspell

From: Tim Aspell [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: CT50 Diagnostics disk?

Hi All

My poor old faithfull libbretto 50 has got problems, the mouse (accupoint is
no longer detected at bootup by windows) has stopped working.

I also started to have problems with the charge, pwr, and sleep leds not
illuminating.

I've dismanteled and checked all the connections on the ribbon cable and
reassembled teh machine, now the LEDs work but still no joy with the mouse.

I got a copy of the tech manual and I *should* have a diagnostics disk to go
with it, does anyone know where I can download it from please?

I'd just like to check the obvious before I pay out for a ribbon cable or
accupoint.

TIA

Tim

Great, has someone started spoofing headers? or is there
something you want to share before the party guests arrive...

[LIB] Problems with floppy disk drive in windows but it works in DOS?

2002-07-17 Thread Alan Middleton

Date: Thu, 18 Jul 2002 00:20:18 +0100
From: Alan Middleton [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: Problems with floppy disk drive in windows but it works in DOS?

Hi,

Has anyone experienced (and fixed) this?

The floppy disk drive works fine if I boot to command prompt or with a
DOS disk, but most of the time when I try to use it in windows the PC
hangs.

Tried reinstalling the drivers with no joy.

Any help appreciated,

Alan.
