[LIB] Crystals and time
Date: Fri, 31 Jan 2003 06:31:39 + From: "Matthew Hanson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Crystals and time From: Rick <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Temperature changes will affect the oscillation rate of a crystal. Some older two way radios had crystal ovens to keep them at a constant temperature so the frequency wouldn't drift. I'm sure you'll find that the time change varies with the amount of power up time. Hmmm... maybe that's why cheap watches that stay right on your warm wrist maintain time so well. I just started this group today. I'm looking at buying a 50ct at the moment. Any tips good or bad as to what to watch out for? There was that recent post for a 70CT. But usually EBay is the place to find them Matt _ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 ** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives ---TO UNSUBSCRIBE--- Reply to any of the list messages. So put the music of your choice into a startup folder... :) Set up Auto Power On in BIOS in Toshiba Utilities > HW Setup, dropped a shortcut to my favorite M3U playlist file into the Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Startup folder, and I've got great music to wake me up! Thanks Neil & Lee! Matt Now if I can figure out how to get the Altec PC system to turn on at the same time... hmmm... where's that old timer _ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 ** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives ---TO UNSUBSCRIBE--- Reply to any of the list messages.
