You can turn hibernation off in windows but if it gets low on battery the
BIOS level hibernation will kick in and torch anything at the 8.4G barrier.

Plenty in the archives about how to allow for this.

My little Garmin eTrex Legend has complete searchable streetmaps of New

Parallel is for losers.
3-wire serial has far better range - l33t.

USB2 to serial - cool misuse of technologies.

Anyone got some links?

SC's are standard radio controlled car cells (Sub C).

Easy to build a pack from them as theyre tabbed already.

Copy the files to a folder.

To make the floppy bootable just go to a command prompt and type "sys a:"
and then copy the files onto it.

The 70 case is smaller as well.

The 100/110 has 2 pcmcia on the right and a single psu adapter on the back
using a special plug.

Infrared on the right as well.

Not much chance.
It could be done but it probably won't look much like a 70c afterward.

Only if your OS is using a local hibernation file and not the bios level
one.

Linux will do this with the "software suspend" project.
It uses the swap file to do the hibernation.

I'll take 2 of those 400MHz equiv. dog slow laptops to replace my 166 and
233 blazing fast Libbys.

I don't look at MHz ratings nowadays.

When I first got my Thinkpad T21 800MHz I noticed that there was something
"different" when running on batteries.
Nothing I could put my finger on just a feel.
Things like not quite so snappy when scrolling webpages in opera.
I checked /proc/cpu and it was screaming along at 177MHz.

It's probably your msdos.sys file.

Use the one from the tarball (it's just a text file so won't hurt).

Re: 100CT Loses Time on Suspend [to RAM]

From: Fran <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: Re: 100CT Loses Time on Suspend [to RAM]

Very happy with Slack8.

It's only installed on my Compaq laptop at the moment but as soon as I get
a 20Gb for the Libby it's going on it.

The Rieser FS is great.

On the Libby (110 CT) I have 64Mb, Slack7 and am using BlackBox as the WM.
I want to use BlackBox on the Compaq as well but am addicted to
Anti-Aliased fonts (which work out of the box - almost - with Slack8) and
sub-pixel rendering.

BlackBox is _so_ much quicker than KDE.
