Thanks for your reply.

I've seen that I should send either by fax or by email the details of my
credit card, my address, etc, but what I don't know is the final amount
of money I must specify (including p&p to Spain).
Could you inform me of this so that I can order it?

Cheers

Miguel Santano-Roco.

Drivers for external FDD (Y-E DATA)

Subject: Drivers for external FDD (Y-E DATA)

Hi again, dear list-mates,

I need your help one more time. I can only make the FDD work under DOS
(though I need to shut down the computer and restart it in DOS), but not
with W95. I thought it'd be due to the quite incomplete version of W95
my L30 had installed, but it seems not to be the reason, as its drivers
aren't included (I couldn't find them). The FDD is a Y-E DATA. I've been
looking unsuccessfully on the web, so I have decided to ask you: what
can I do?
Does anibody have the drivers I need or any good advice to give me?

Thanks in advance,

Miguel

Dear "libretto family",

Your information has been really useful.
I'm happy to be subscribed to this list.
W95 was finally installed in my L30, and it's due to you.
Thank you very much.

Miguel

Problem with L30

2000-05-20 Thread Miguel Santano-Roco

Subject: Problem with L30

Hello, folks,

I have a problem: I bought a L30 whose password had been lost, and after
trying several different tricks, I decided to take it to a Toshiba
service centre. As a result of that, they have solved the problem of the
password, BUT they also have deleted everything on the HD. They said
that they couldn't re-install W95 because they didn't have it on
floppies, but that it could be done jus by passing the CD to several (!)
floppies.
In fact, they didn't tell it to me, but to my father, who took it to
that official repair centre.
I think those people have made a mistake and didn't want to assume it,
and I'm not sure that W95 can be installed this way (maybe some of the
"units" are bigger than 1.44Mb).
Does anybody know what I could do?
A friend has told me that some time ago he heard about a program that,
when run under DOS, could communicate two computers so that one could
copy things from one to the other directly (which would be a solution,
since I could install W95 from the CD drive of a desktop), but I don't
know if this really exists, neither how to obtain it if so.
Any idea?
Please suggest me what to do.
Thanks in advance.

There's another thing I'd like to communicate: some days ago I asked
about the availability of memory cards to upgrade the memory of an L30.
Well, to those interested in doing this, it could be useful to see this:
http://www.memorykings.com/othersite/toshmem.htm .

Thank you very much, Giles and Ken.
I haven't been able to find the modules, but it's good to know that
there are helping people there.

Hi there,

Does anybody know if a 16Mb memory module for a Libretto 70 would fit my
L30?

Cheers,
