Thanks for you mail!

Well, I made a bootup disk by
cd windows\command
smartdrv.exe
bootdisk a:

Its great but there are no drivers on the boot disk for a pcmcia CD drive!
Any idea how I get the bootup disk to see the drivers from my EXP PCMCIA
Portable CD-Rom drive?
Sorry I am a new at this.

My Windows 98SE stalls right after the startup sound.
I have tried to restore the registry as well as build a 1rst time registry
and it still freezes after the starup sound.

Thanks Bill

Thanks Matt,
Well it stalls in safe mode as well so I am stuck in DOS.
I am still holding out hope for saving the contents of my drive, at least
till I can back up what I need.
I ran scandisk and all is well there so here it sit.
I loaded the backups of the registry and that did not work much to my
surprise.
I may have to get pro help as it is the only PC I have.
Thanks Bill

Help in find Libretto parts

Subject: Help in find Libretto parts

Can any one help me in finding a place to buy some spare Accupoint Caps, gray
with texture for the 110CT?
I called National parts and the are out of stock and have a $25.00 min order.

I also am looking for the worlds smallest track ball or mouse. I know I have
seen mini ones before but all I am finding searching the net are fairly large.
Thanks everybody,
Bill Ruppert

Subject: Stereo record on Libretto 110?

Does anyone know if the libretto 110 can record stereo from the mic jack on
the computer or is this just a mono in?
Everything I have tried has just produced a mono input.
Thanks,
Bill Ruppert

Re: Lib 100 sound card

2001-05-02 Thread Mizuho

Subject: Re: Lib 100 sound card

Hi Dave,
The Libretto is not full duplex. I wanted to use several audio programs that
require it and found out it was not.
The feedback you here is just a loop of the input to the speaker. You are not
hearing the audio THRU the sound card
To go full duplex an external pcmcia sound card is the only way to go.
There are a few very high quality pro sound cards out there but they are in
the range of $300 ore more. The cheaper pcmcia cards are just half duplex.
A USB device may work but USB is a dog as far as speed/CPU use goes and I
have no idea if that would work.
Good luck,
Bill
