 I would have thought any sub 8GB  =9.5mm, 2.5 would be OK.
 
I have a 20Gb IBM drive in mine (can't remember the model number right now) and it 
works fine.  Beware that the `hidden' suspend partition, for save-to-disk, is placed 
at the end of 8Gb, so it is in the middle of a disk larger than 8Gb rather than at the 
end (requires careful partitioning).
