[LIB] CT 11o and Nt

Was wondering how NT 4.0 runs on the libretto, I believe that I have read that NT was
an option on some of them, whether it was this version am not sure. And is there any
secrets to getting it to install and run properly, have seen the drivers on Toshiba's
site. Is the floppy installation as pesky as that in Win98. TIA

Hi Douglas!

NT 4.0 runs fast and stable on 100/110s.

I have not tryed to install with NT-bootfloppys + CD (because I have no
CD-ROM for my Lib)

I did it in another way (which is only one from several possibilities!):
1. Booting into DOS from a floppy with network drivers for DOS.
2. Creating and formatting a first FAT-partition of the HD.
3. Copying the NT installation directory (i386) from the network to the HD.
4. Installing NT from the HD.

Toshibe provides all neccessary drivers and tools for APM, HWsetup etc.

Remember that you need additional third party software (e.g. CardWizard) to
allow hot swap for PCMCIA-cards.

No problem with HD's > 8GB, NT can see the complete disk.

I have not tested the behaviour with the CardStation, but at least the USB
connection will not work under NT.

regards
Gerhard

A driver for the Libretto-floppy is included in Windows NT 4.0.

If you missed David's recent post, here's the link to the 15MB CardWizard
file necessary to do this on NT:

http://160.87.24.214/cardwizard.zip
15MB
Various versions
One of these should fix that problem one of ya' had with not being able to
use something in DOS w/o CW.
