unsubscribe me Me too, please. I've been trying for over a month to get unsubscribed from this list. The "authoritative" address doesn't work ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Any help escaping this list would be appreciated. Thanks, -Mitch
Re: Simple Public License, third draft
Does anybody know how to get off this list? I have tried unsuccessfully for two weeks to remove myself, using the [EMAIL PROTECTED] address. I will be going on vacation at the end of the week and an autoresponder will answer all my emails. I want to avoid auto-spamming this list if at all possible. If anybody knows the private email of the person responsible for list subscriptions, I would be appreciative of the info. Or, if I am incorrect in the above email for list removal, a correction would be welcomed. Thanks, -Mitch Justin Wells wrote: Hi Bruce, Are you happier with this draft? I removed the langage relating to purpose. I've sent a copy of it to a lawyer or review now, and hope to be able to start using it, and promoting its use, soon.

I believe there have been discussions before on the list about appropriate free licenses for hardware designs. However, I can't find an archive for the list. Is there an archive; and if not, has anyone kept records of any related threads? /lurk there's an archive at http://www.mail-archive.com/license-discuss%40opensource.org/ if that's of any use. i pseudo-lurked there before subscribing. now i jurk for real. lurk -- Any command with less than 48 switches is a Cat in the Hat book. - E. Philipp, Have you already consulted an attorney who told you that this new license provision was necessary? I very strongly doubt that it's necessary on top of the generic "no warranty" claims already present in the GPL. Otherwise, there would be similar claims already attached to books, movies, and commercial video games. Am I the only one here who took this as a joke? -Mitch

That last tirade against Richard was just a little bit much. I think Eric deserves praise for all his work, and also believe that it helpful to all of us (in sum). But for someone who is tolerant enough of others viewpoints to become a "media-whore", I find it quite confusing that he would criticize Richard for simply not wanting to be associated with a group whose ideals are not his own (yet portrayed in the media as being the same, which can cause confusion). [snip] pps. I'll give you $20 if you'll stop saying "tribe". I would like to add another $20 to the anti-tribe fund. :) On Fri, Aug 20, 1999 at 03:37:14AM -0400, Eric S. Raymond wrote: Right.
