But it works now! Without reboot or anything else.

[Licq-main] New Problems LICQ under Mandrake 8.2

I've been able to compile LICQ with gcc 2.96 (gcc 3.1.1 did not work) without
any errors.
But now I get an error invoking icq:

[rissling@localhost rissling]$ licq
21:50:18: [WRN] Licq: Ignoring stale lockfile (pid 16221)
21:50:18: [ERR] Unable to load plugin (kde-gui):
/usr/local/lib/licq/licq_kde-gui.so: undefined symbol: __ti7QDialog.

Can anybody help?

[Licq-main] [ERR] Unknown sign on error: 0x14.

2002-06-12 Thread Bruno Lustosa

Hello, list.

I was logged on normally as of today. I disconnected, and when I tried
to reconnect I just get the following in network window:

17:03:19: [SRV] Requesting logon (#1012)...
17:03:19: [SRV] Connecting to login server.
17:03:19: [SRV] Resolving login.icq.com port 5190...
17:03:19: [SRV] ICQ server found at 205.188.179.233:5190.
17:03:19: [SRV] Opening socket to server.
17:03:21: [ERR] Unknown sign on error: 0x14.
17:03:21: [ERR] Unknown sign on error: 0x14.

Anyone else experiencing such behaviour?
Licq is from current snapshot (upgraded after it started giving
problems, with no solution at all).

Thanks

Hmmm, it seems I need to fresh up on that Euro-stuff :-(

Here's a euro sign for everyone: € :-)

If I copy it to Licq I get: " $-1ôÌ -A " (with out the "s). So forget
about what I said, I can't send euro signs either, or at least I can't
copy them to Licq, and I can't type one on my keyboard, I just get the
¢ I posted earlier.

When you are using iso-8859-1 as in the above text, then you can't
write ¢ (euro sign), it will show up as ¤ because those two characters
are the same, only in different character sets. That's also why this
message containing both will be sent as utf-8.

Anyway. I just sent a euro sign to one of my friends and got one
back. There was no problems with that, so it must be your system that
has a problem. My friend is using Mandrake 8.2 and a snapshot from a
while ago. I'm using RedHat 7.2 and the lastest CVS-version.

I think it's your configuration.

It's the same problem for me, you're not alone.
Unfortunately i have no solution for this problem. I'm running latest CVS on
SuSE 7.3 KDE3/QT3.

But it doesn't seem to work for me
