Re: a Lyric Report (-> my GSoC project)
Agreed - this is fantastic work. I wish there were more reports of this quality. It'd make it easier to fix stuff. I have a pretty good sense of how difficult each issue will be to fix - lemme know if you need an order of attack once you get cracking on these problems. Doc/LSR-problem?
Hi, I just downloaded today's tarball: lsr-snippets-all-2012-03-30.tar.gz in order to make some checks. Something went wrong: In the updated files the old version and the old header is not replaced by the new ones. Instead the new versions/headers were simply added. As an example I use: adding-fingerings-to-a-score.ly \version "2.12.2" \header { texidoc = " Fingerings for chords can be obtained by adding them to individual pitches. " doctitle = "Adding fingerings to chords" } \version "2.14.0" \header { texidoc = " Fingerings for chords can be obtained by adding them to individual pitches. " doctitle = "Adding fingerings to chords" } \relative c'{ < c-1 e-2 g-3 b-5 >2 < d-1 f-2 a-3 c-5 > } I don't know what happened or anything about the consequences. I just informed Sebastiano. -Harm ___ lilypond-devel mailing list lilypond-devel@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-devel

Dear Team, i've just created a multi-issue bug report about Lyrics: see issues 2450 - 2462 (http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/list?q=label:GSoC-LyricProject). I dedicate them to Valentin, as he was skeptical whether Lyrics in LilyPond need much improvement ;) I've set the owner of these issues to myself, because one of my two applications for Google Summer of Code will be about improving Lyrics in Lily - it would be troublesome if suddenly someone did the work for me! Hi all, i'm adding a multi-issue bug report to our google tracker. To cross-link it correctly i need to know, before posting, what issue numbers will my report get. So, please don't add new issues to the tracker for an hour (until 18:30 UTC), neither directly nor using git-cl. thanks, Janek ___ lilypond-devel mailing list lilypond-devel@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-devel

Not quite, that was rather meant as a +110 for having this in Frescobaldi. The situation is as follows: my choir is used to Finale scores. In Finale, when you play a score, a green line follows the playback (showing where you are). We're switching to LilyPond, and when i send them MIDI files, they miss this feature. I've thought about using Musescore for that, but i had trouble exporting Lyrics through MIDI, and also the layout of the imported midi is completely different from the actual pdf score. It would be nice if we could use Frescobaldi for that. (or some other tool, but Frescobaldi is already here). Actually, i know that pdf is a very "broad" format and i suppose that one could create interactive pdf scores that would "play themselves". It would be a useful feature if LilyPond could do this. cheers, Janek ___ lilypond-devel mailing list lilypond-devel@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-devel
