Currently more or less 25-30 €, but bitcoin raises very quickly (not today).

Ok, now it works. Yes, I see: so I think it wouldn't be difficult to get it also
for text spanners ("ritenuto" is not a dynamic mark).

Mmm, the link currently is broken.

There are also 2 other problems:

1)
   \override Score.PaperColumn #'keep-inside-line = ##t

is ignored.

2) the text is repeated at the beginning of the new line.

Well, another improvement that I'd love to see is the ability to define
the TextSpanner text *in* the \startTextSpan command, i.e. _after_ the
note.

b1\startTextSpan "rit." % here the textspan text
  e,\stopTextSpan

instead of the current

  \override TextSpanner #'(bound-details left text) = "rit."
  b1\startTextSpan
  e,\stopTextSpan

There was already a discussion about this but I can't find it again.
I think this request was maybe introduced by Kieren.?.

This postfix syntax is currently possible for DynamicTextSpanner,
thanks to Reinhold's work.

Yes, exactly! I'd love it.

Yes. I'd like a syntax similar to:

\override TextSpanner #'(bound-details text) = "poco - a - poco - cre-scen-do"

(the correct syllabification of "crescendo" is "cre-scen-do" ;) )

Thank you!

Hi!

What would be great is that it "splits" and "spreads" automatically
between the beginning and the end of the spanner.

For example the six parts (words) of poco - - a - - poco - - cres - -
cen - - do would be evenly spaced through notes durations like the
use of \fill-line for markups... :D

Xavier

It is already possible by abusing the DynamicTextSpanner:

\relative c' {
  \set crescendoSpanner = #'text
  \set crescendoText = "ri"
  c1\<
  \set crescendoText = "te"
  d\<
  \set crescendoText = "nu"
  e\<
  \set crescendoText = "to"
  \once \override Voice.DynamicTextSpanner #'dash-period = #-1
  f\<
  g1\!
}

I also use this for things like poco - - a - - poco - - cres - - cen - - do
etc.

How much would be the expected price of this feature? If it isn't too much
expensive (I'm a student...) I'd like to sponsor it.
