Can't find feta20.afm
I just installed LilyPond 2.4.2 on Windows XP. When I try to process a .ly file, I get the following error message: Interpreting music... error: can't find `feta20.afm' Music font has not been installed properly. Aborting I've checked, and feta20.afm appears to be where it should. I previously had 2.2.2 installed, but I deleted the entire cygwin directory before installing 2.4.2, so this shouldn't be the cause of the problem. A quick look through the lilypond-user archives tells me that this isn't an unheard of problem, but, since I'm not at all used to unix systems, most of it makes little sense to me. What should I do about this? error: can't find `feta20.afm'
Well, I had a perfectly working lilypond installation and then my server freaked out. I have finally got everything reinstalled and I am using the same .profile and lilypond-profile script as before (same versions of Lilypond too, of course) and I now get the following error when trying to parse: $ lilypond assignment4a.ly lilypond (GNU LilyPond) 2.2.2 Running lilypond-bin... Now processing `assignment4a.ly' Parsing... Interpreting music... error: can't find `feta20.afm' Fonts have not been installed properly. Strange, it should work out of the box. Please follow the instructions on bug report at http://lilypond.org/web/download/windows.html (you could send to this mailing list, though). Then it might be easier to track down what's wrong. /Mats Gerard Greco wrote: Hello, I installed and reinstalled lilypond 2.0.1 with cygwin.
