Re: Documentation Review
2008/9/22 Trevor Daniels [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Several sections of the Learning Manual and most of the first two Chapters of the Notation Reference are ready for review by users, and it would be good to bring these to the best possible state before 2.12 is released. Greetings Trevor, I'm sure there's plenty of room for improvements, but could we add NR 1.8 Text to the list of sections to be reviewed? Corrections, suggestions and criticism are welcome! Corrections, suggestions and criticism are welcome! Done! This is a major piece of work! We now need reviewers for this and several other sections. More here: http://www.google.com/help/operators.html Firefox users can add these searches easily as a Keyword Search Engine.: lm blah instead of the URL would search http://www.google.com/search?q=site:lilypond.org+intitle:Manual+inurl:v2.11+blah To configure that, just make a bookmark, replace the search-term by %s and add a keyword like lm. Then Ctrl-T lm something is _very_ quick to search the manual for something ... Seb. PS: the same holds for amazon, news, wikis etc... I agree. This is something we shall look at when the basic text is satisfactory. (Links can't be added reliably until the text has stabilised.) And one thing concerning the section I just learned: For every \skip, the text will be delayed another note. Is it a note or a syllable? What does the param mean? I'll clarify this. The param has to be a valid duration and present, but it is ignored in lyrics. Before getting to destructive: I love lilypond! Big thanks to all contributors. Thanks :) Regards, Seb.
