lilypond templates
Hi list, today I want to show you a template engine for lilypond: https://github.com/jpvoigt/lalily-templates It is implemented as an openLilyLib package and can be loaded by the current oll-core implementation. I extracted it from my lalily project so that it is usable independent from the other lalily features. Right now it still has a dependency on the edition-engraver, but I will make the integration optional, so that it is usable without the EE. Currently it lacks documentation, but I think the core set should be easy to understand. On the GitHub-page is as simple example and with the project comes a more elaborate file to test different use cases. I will create more documentation and example files soon, but I wished to make it public now. Any questions or comments regarding this package are welcome. emacs LilyPond-mode and lilypond-templates package
Last year I put together a package of templates to make it easy to use the templates in the documentation. I tried to make it easy to install. As you know LilyPond is a moving target but they still work for me as they stand. They may prove useful to others. I know I had a great deal of fun putting them together. They can be found at http://code.google.com/p/lilypond-templates/downloads/list I put them up at google-code so that they didn't just disappear but to my surprise, someone has actually downloaded them. I decided that I would let people on the list know they existed. Let me know if they are of value and how they can be improved. If it is within my skill, I will have a go at them. Help Wanted: LilyPond templates chapter
Hi Y'all, LilyPond development is gearing up towards a new, better, funkier glitzier stable release, and that is LilyPond 3.0. It will be easier to use than ever before, it has more capabilities, and the layout is so much improved that reading LilyPond 3.0 parts will instantaneously improve your instrumental playing. It will -in one word- rock. And the best thing is: you can help get it released sooner! We are still looking for a DOCUMENTATION EDITOR that is, someone that takes the questions and answers of the mailing lists and edits that so they become part of the user manual. We're looking for a someone can write English, is willing to run LilyPond CVS and help edit the manual. If you feel qualified, send me an email. The task that needs particular attention for release 3.0 is the integration of the templates files. The examples at http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.3/input/template/out-www/collated-files.html should really be a part of the manual, so there is a nice bridge between the tutorial and the more advanced sections of the manual. The task is to take the examples from the template collection, strip them to their essentials, and put them into the template chapter. Ideally, each template should not take more than 1 page of LilyPond code. Please consider helping out. I and your fellow LilyPond users will be very thankful! -- Han-Wen Nienhuys | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | http://www.xs4all.nl/~hanwen ___ lilypond-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
