Strictly speaking, sharing that link could be considered "conspiring".

Re: [LincolnTalk] Induction cooktops/ranges

Thank you for everyone's comments/opinions - I received so many replies

Safe to say that almost everyone was very enthusiastic about induction
cooking, though a couple of people were less enamored and gave good
feedback with their reasons.

That being said, LT has been very helpful.

Thanks!

[LincolnTalk] Recommendations for a structural carpenter needed

2022-02-25 Thread Bill Rizzo
I am looking for recommendations for a structural carpenter, someone who can
tackle a complicated piece of rough carpentry involving the reinforcement of
the chestnut main beam of our 1830's house, which has been a food source for
carpenter ants since Grover Cleveland was President. A structural engineer has
designed the fix, but we need a carpenter to implement it. Many thanks in
advance. Bill Rizzo

Re: [LincolnTalk] Induction cooktops/ranges

2022-02-25 Thread Jessica Packineau
Hi Bob, we've put induction ranges in three kitchen remodels over the years
and loved them. For the first two, gas wasn't an option. We loved them
enough to put induction in the third time instead of natural gas. It's a
great option for moving away from fossil fuels. We love how efficient and
safe they are, we've found them to be as fast and as responsive as gas.
(Speed in getting boiling water over the coffee is #1 criteria for me,
haha).

All three have come from IKEA, though I think it might be a third party
that makes them. We upgraded to a nice 5-burner, 36-inch range and it looks
and works great so far.

Good luck!
-Jess

[LincolnTalk] Friends of the Lincoln Library--Volunteers Welcome

2022-02-25 Thread DIANA BEAUDOIN
The following announcement may be of interest to readers:

The Lincoln Public Library is one of the Town's treasured resources. The
Friends of the Lincoln Library (FOLL) is a nonprofit organization that raises
funds to support the Library by funding items not included in the Town
budget--special programs, equipment to make Library services and programs more
accessible to all and to encouraging lifelong learning. FOLL works to stimulate
use of the Library and encourage broad-based community involvement in Library
programs and events.

Each year at this time, FOLL reaches out to the community to invite expressions
of interest in volunteering to support our work and for being considered for
future openings on the board of directors. Self-nominations are welcome.

We're seeking individuals who love the Library as much as we do and can commit
a few hours each month of their time and talent. The FOLL board meets monthly
from September to June. Volunteers with various skills are welcome to join us
in fundraising projects throughout the year. If you are interested, please let
us know. Contact the FOLL Nominating Committee email: [
mailto:diana.beaud...@rcn.com | diana.beaud...@rcn.com ] .
