The daughter of a long-time Lincoln resident who moved to the West Coast is
visiting with her husband and child for a few days in September [Sept.
1-5].  I was asked for suggestions for a short-term rental and hope to pass
on some of your ideas.  I know she would love to show her husband and
daughter the place where she grew up and went to school.  Finding a
short-term rental in the area would be wonderful for them.

4th events - the information is in the hard-copy brochure we all received in 
the mail - but the Town website doesn’t list the times. We are sorry for any 
confusion. Here is what the brochure says:

7:45 - 8:15am Check in at Town Offices for Firecracker Run - Register online - 
Race Time: 8:30 am
10 am children’s Bike Parade - Starts on Upland Field Road - goes to Town 
Offices and back
10:30 Declaration of Independence - reading - Town Offices
10:40 Parade - Leaving from Ballfield Road (The band this year is: JONDA)
11:30 - 1 Boy Scouts Hosted Cook Out - Pierce House
12 - 5 Town Wide Swim at Codman Pool

[LincolnTalk] Sulfa smell: Water issues

Dear Tamika and LincolnTalk,

After flushing and a little time, the Water Superintendent expects this sulfa 
smell to dissipate pretty quickly.  Please do let us know if this is not the 
case, though, as in that eventuality the Superintendent says we will try to do 
some more flushing of pipes in the area.  
Evidently there is a biofilm in the pipes that can oxidize when exposed to air 
and this is likely the cause of the odor.
